A big thank you to all the supporters who turned up on Sunday, in atrocious conditions to cheer the boys on. It’s nice to know that our true supporters are not just fair weather fans who just sit in their cars cheering through the windscreen with the wipers and heating on and then rely on the soaking wet fans to bump start their cars as they have flattened the battery!
I would like to clarify the situation regarding recent press speculation about the vacant England job.As of today I am offically ruling myself out of contention for this post.I am contracted to the Monarchs under 12's until the end of the season and feel that taking the England post on a part time basis would not really suit either Monarchs or England .If by May 2008 the post at England is still vacant I will re-evaluate my role at Monarchs.
