Last game of the season and yet another game with only 11 players; sadly the story of our ever lengthening season.  We set out at a good pace, making sure that Castle Colts knew that they had a match on their hands. The first half was very even with neither team able to break the deadlock. In the 40^th minute CC were awarded a penalty which Ross coolly saved making the half time score (0-0).

Half time talk was to take on as much water as possible and to continue to battle for every ball.

We played some good football, keeping CC at bay for long periods, but in the 18^th minute they managed to get around us, opening the days scoring at (0 – 1). We continued to push forward and had a couple of near misses but in the 26^th minute CC scored a great goal, leaving Ross and his defence force no chance (0 – 2). We continued to try to push forward but with tiring legs, CC scored a third in the dyeing moments of the match leaving the final score (0 - 3).

MOM: Ross, for some great saves including the great penalty save and for showing some good leadership skills in his role of captain.

A good effort by the team in a hard fought, challenging match. Now the season is finally over we can enjoy a well-earned break before looking forward to next season.
